The Poetry Kiln Collective
Dublin Spoken Word Performers
We Are The Killing
The Killing of your old enemies that lie in wait
at night and in the back of your mind
We explore your darknesses, your light
We point out your flaws, your strengths and dreams
Come see us play, see us talk, we'll be talking just to thee
Meet the Kiln
Poetry Kiln Collective is a creative collective that focuses on the immediacy of the spoken word. Through their shows the collective aims to connect to the audience in the here and now rather than through the medium of the page.

Poet & Comedian
David Hynes
Poet and comedian David Hynes has been performing up and down the country for almost a decade now. A veteran of electric picnic, body and soul, and many other festivals whose carcasses now lie in the ground. Soul-searching poems written in pain and humour born out of necessity, he has made fans everywhere, he has issued breath. He embarks now on what he is sure will be his biggest voyage yet. David Hynes doesn't like people who talk about themselves in the third person.

Spoken Word Artist
Anna D.
Anna Doran is a poet and singer/songwriter from Dublin who has recently begun performing her writing as spoken word. She has an interest in the interplay between emotions and patterns of behaviour, family and collective trauma and the impact of oppressive systems on how we relate to each other and the world today. She is a mother, a teacher and a dramatherapist with a passion for inclusion and educational reform. Her poems are raw, honest and relatable portrayals of her experience of the human condition in all it's grime and glory.
